Lesson to be learned is to take professional advice from an expert in the field.  Small print matters in all contracts but especially in insurance.  The premiums that are cheapest may very well offer  less cover.  It may be that the cheaper premium and less cover is suitable for your personal circumstances.

The important point is that you should be absolutely clear about what is covered and what is not.  You can only make an informed judgement with the facts.
